New Blog!!!!

After months of wanting to do it, ive finally done it!! .... and im still working on it since im really not good at the whole blogging thing, and figuring out how to make them look super cute.

I made a photography blog, where I can post all the pictures i've took and will take. Hopefully get some constructive feedback from people that I can use to improve from.

I love photography and I wish I knew everything there was to know about it, not to mention I wish I had a super expensive camera with all of the gadgets to go along with it... and while we are on the topic, maybe throw a studio in there with a white background and lights and unlimited props.. one day!

I love my family, and I love my kids, but I feel that I need to be doing something more. Don't get me wrong, my kids keep me more than busy, but busy with being up all night, and cleaning up after them (ALL DAY!), and of course all the fun things that come along with it, but being able to take pictures and try new and fun edits on them is something that makes me even happier and lets me get a "break" for a while.

Im hoping people will enjoy what they see and want to book some sessions, id love to expand what i've done and get more experience, so i'd do sessions really cheap since people will be helping me out by booking. I know, bad time of the year to decide i'd like to do this, hopefully I can figure something out and get a little set up in my basement while its FREEZING out!!

no more avoiding it..

After months of avoiding updating my blog, I'm now sitting here alone on friday night completely bored so i'm doing the one thing i've been putting off...

There has only been a few exciting events lately, Rylee's Birthday, the BIG 4!!
She had her usual 2 parties (Lucky Girl!) one on her real birthday, and one when everyone was able to get together to celebrate.

Then we had Jordans birthday, the big 24!! that may be a suprise to those who dont really know Jordan, since everyone I talk to thinks that he is older than that. Rylee was to tempted to blow out the candles so she had to sit with her mouth covered till it was time. But we had a little party for him and invited friends & family over, it was a fun evening!

Then Sept long all of jordans side of the family went to the cabin in Big Fork, SO much fun! The girls were perfect for the drive, and then had so much fun playing in the water. Its just such a nice relaxing place to go. I love Kalispell, and if those darn mountains wernt there im sure we'd be visiting a lot more during the winter too!! It is just such a beautiful area, and PERFECT for pictures!

Lastly Rylee started PreSchool! My baby, who obviously isnt a baby and hasnt been for a long time, yet it just seems like yesterday she was a tiny newborn and now shes 4 and going to school.. it goes by WAY to fast!

Rylee LOVED her first day, I was so worried she would be scared and want me to stay, it was sure nice though when she told me "you can go now mom", I guess I need to give her a lot more credit than I do! The only thing I want Rylee to get out of preschool is structure and to listen better. She is already SO smart and knows much more than she needs to at this point, she just thinks she's the boss and runs the show around here, so if that could be toned down a bit I will be one happy parent!

I decided as soon as I registered Rylee for PreSchool that every year on her first day I'd make her write her own sign of what school year it was and take a picture of her holding it, yup she's going to hate me when she older! But for now she likes it and its fun!

Home Sweet (Summer) Home

We've moved to Saskatoon for the summer and I'm not going to lie I was not excited about this summer at all.. Summers are getting less and less exciting as the kids get older, having to pack them up away from everyone back home and move to a new place where we know no one. This summer especially when no other guys in the office are married at all with kids. So it's me and the girls..

Rylee had a pretty hard time adjusting at first, the house here was called the "yuckie house" and all I heard non stop how she missed grandma, grandpa, paytin and her "Airdrie House". As the days passed Rylee no longer says any of that and she has warmed up to the idea of being gone. That may all change when her new friend Lily moves away on sunday.. poor girl I hope I can find a new friend her age, she really needs that kid interaction during the week, and I need it for my sanity also!!!
Saskatoon is much prettier than I had thought, there are TONS of trees. The old streets are arched with trees all the way down with old houses that are old but beautiful. The schools around our home are so old and designed un-like you see today, they look like they are straight out of a movie.

One day I will post pictures of out summer home, but for now a piece of our back yard will have to do. I am SO thankful for all of the hard work Jordan is doing. Our summer may seem long yet giving up our summer allows us to live more comfortably than we need to, and I feel I take advantage of that far to much. Jordan is gone all day working and gives up much more than I do (yet i'm the one complaining). But I am thankful for him, and thankful for the 4 months he gives up everything and works as hard as he possibly can. Even more so I love that we have the next 8 months where we can do whatever we please. Im definitely spoiled, and very thankful!

The Big Sisters Turn

I do not even know where to start with this little nutball! Rylee is goofy, and smart, and sassy, and naughty, and stubborn and sweet all rolled into one.. Im pretty sure those are things that make up a 3 year old! ( and i have no clue why everything i type is underlined....)

My "baby" should not be turning 4 the end of August, It really does seem like only months ago she was my little baby, and now she is my big girl that bosses me around, tells me how to handle Hailyn and tells me what I am allowed to do. The things that drive me the most crazy with her are the things I love the most!

ooo the underlines are now gone!! Rylee has a new love for writing and painting. She loves to learn letters and how to spell peoples names. I am loving the fact she wants to learn and catches on to things so fast. That painting she did all by herself! She made it to go with Paytins birthday present ( i kinda want to keep it.. its cute!!) The rest are her first attempt at names, i really should have took new pictures of how she can write them all now, but I just love it! My house is now decorated with Rylees name on a million different pieces of paper all over the place.

and they are back.. so odd!!

But im pretty sure Rylee was sent here to teach me patience. I definitely need them, and i'm not quite sure if it is even something you can gain (i'm having no such luck)

Almost every day I wonder how such a cute sweet little girl, that will at random times give me a big hug and tell me how much she loves me, or tonight it was "mom you are the best, you are my bestest friend!!", but I wonder how such a sweet girl can drive me so crazy! Cuz that phrase she told me turned into "You arnt my best friend anymore!" when I made her go to bed.. ahh 3 year olds are so fun

Rylee LOVES her dada!! He has left for the summer already, and I'm sure I hear at least 5 times a day how much she misses her dada and wants to go see him.. Then followed by, "But i'm not living in saskatoon, im staying here living at grandmas house"

Im pretty sure she gets this addiction from me! Is there honestly anything better than chocolate dipped strawberries?? Nope there isn't!

But what it all comes down to is that every day I realize how thankful I am to have been blessed with such an amazing little girl. She really is the reason for so many great things that have happened in my life, and I love her SO much more for that! Rylee truly has changed my life in so many ways and I know she will continue to do so. It's amazing what a 3 year old can teach you, and how a 3 year old can become one of your best friends!

All About my BABY!!

So this post is ALL about my Baby

Time sure is going by FAR to fast, and my little newborn is no longer my tiny baby. She still is tiny, but has so much personality and I just LOVE her to pieces! I swear during the day I just can not get enough of her. I could sit and watch the funny things she does all day long!!!

She is goofy, sweet, amazing and perfect in SO many ways

Hailyn is starting to talk more, she now says, mom, dad, hi, Rylee (eye-yeee), puppy, baby, bye, daisy, uhoh, her blanket is ba-ba, her bottle is a ba, and a bath is also a ba but she says the "ba's" different for each thing, and she says Hat and Hot

SO we are slowly getting better!! she understands everything you say to her, and she wants to do everything rylee does!

Her newest things she loves is to throw her diaper in the garbage after it's changed, she wants to draw, she loves books and sits thinking she is reading them. Shes obsessed with shoes and bows for her hair. She will only drink milk if it has chocolate syurp in it, and already goes crazy when she sees chocolate. She is a true girl in everyway and even more so she is absolutely perfect the way she is!

She is a tiny thing with a HUGE perfect personality and I will forever be greatful we were blessed to have her added to our family. She is the perfect addition and couldnt fit in any better than she does.

I LOVE Weddings!!!

On March 19, 2010 Jordans brother Adam married Sheryll an amazing girl!! I was honored they asked me to be their photographer, i've never took wedding pictures before so I was kind of nervous, but they were perfect models! I had SO much fun, and I realize how much I LOVE taking pictures!! Keep in mind this is my first attempt at shooting a wedding..
